Recycling plays a crucial role in reducing waste, conserving valuable resources, and recovering precious materials such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium (PGMs). These precious group metals, commonly found in items like catalytic converters, are integral to numerous industries and can be efficiently recycled to reduce environmental impact.
By recycling the following materials, we help preserve natural resources and support the circular economy:
Catalytic converters
EV & Hybrid batteries
Aluminum wheels
AC pumps
Electric motors (alternators and starters)
Harness wires
Electronic waste (PCBs and other)
Metals are among the most recyclable materials, and they can be processed through various methods. As global environmental concerns increase, so does the need to recycle as much waste as possible—particularly materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Reduce the need for raw materials
Preserve valuable natural resources
Eliminate the energy and costs involved in extracting raw materials from the earth
We have the expertise to manage every step of the transaction, from providing a tailored, firm offer to trading the recovered materials.
Our strong partnerships with top refineries allow us to choose those that offer the best returns for each consignment, ensuring maximum financial benefit for our customers.
Our professional team is dedicated to making the material recovery process as seamless as possible, offering quick response times, fast settlements, and—most importantly—the best pricing.
We are actively purchasing catalytic converters with both metal and ceramic cores.
At our facility, we de-can and crush the catalytic converters, analyze the materials, and offer you the best value based on current metal market prices. For your convenience, we ensure fast settlement. For more details, please refer to the process section below.
We offer spot pricing and grading based on the catalytic converter codes. For larger quantities, we offer toll refining options through our partner company and nationwide collection.

After receiving the catalytic converters, we remove the ceramic or metal core by extracting it from the metal shell using special, purpose-built de-canning machines.
Once the cores are removed from the shells, the material undergoes further processing. For ceramic cores, we use a crushing method to turn the extracted material into a fine dust. Metal cores are shredded.
After the material is crushed, a sample is taken from the batch and analyzed to determine the Platinum Group Metal content within a specific measuring unit. In our facility, we perform primary XRF and secondary ICP analyses.
Once the sample has been analyzed, we evaluate the value of the batch based on the current market value of precious metals and make a proposal for compensation.
Our extensive database features thousands of catalytic converters, each accompanied by detailed photos. These converters have been carefully analyzed using the latest and most advanced technology to ensure the most accurate and reliable results. To keep our information up to date, the database is continuously refreshed, with new units being added daily. This allows us to provide the most current and comprehensive data, helping us offer the best possible value for every catalytic converter we process.
We are always seeking talented individuals to join our skilled warehousing and management teams. If you’re interested in future opportunities, please send your contact details along with a brief summary of your work experience to: info@tedref.com.
